The Monaco Yacht Show runs four days in late September at Port Hercule — 23 to 26 September 2026 — with around 120 superyachts on display. What the show is

The Monaco Yacht Show is the superyacht industry's annual market, held in Port Hercule over four days in late September. Around 120 yachts over 25 metres berth stern-to along the quays, with some 60 tenders and more than 560 exhibitors ashore: the builders, designers, brokers and suppliers who make and sell them. It is a trade event with a public face, and a large part of its audience arrives by private aircraft because the people who buy, sell and build these boats tend to.

For a Dutch audience it has a second meaning. The Netherlands builds a disproportionate share of the world's large yachts, and the yards — Feadship, Oceanco, Heesen, Amels — bring their teams and their launches to Monaco every year. Our guide to flying the yard to Monaco is written for them.

What show week changes

Nice handles the Yacht Show the way it handles the Grand Prix, at a lower intensity. Three things behave differently from an ordinary September week.

Parking. Aircraft that stay for the four days need a stand, and Nice runs short. The alternative is drop-and-go: the aircraft brings you Wednesday and collects you Saturday, which puts two positioning legs in the price but removes the parking risk. Quote both.
The heliport. Fontvieille has a fixed number of movements per hour and show week uses them. Helicopter slots are booked with the jet, and the morning arrivals go first.
The Saturday departure. The show closes Saturday and a large share of the visiting aircraft leave that afternoon and Sunday. Secure the departure slot when you book the arrival; and if your dates are loose, the days after the show are the best week of the year for empty legs out of Nice.

What it costs from Amsterdam

The flight is a normal Amsterdam–Nice charter; show week adds handling and parking premiums, not a different rate. From published 2026 rate bands plus trip costs, one way: €6,850 to €13,300 for a light jet, €12,100 to €21,800 for a midsize. With six on board that is €1,150 to €2,200 per person in the light jet. Staying aboard

Many visitors stay on a yacht in the port rather than in a hotel, either their own or one they are considering. The arrival then ends at a tender rather than a lobby, and the helicopter can, for the largest yachts, land on the boat itself. How that connection is arranged — helideck certification, tenders, luggage — is in from the jet to the yacht.

Where do you land for the Yacht Show?

Nice Côte d'Azur, 1h 50m from Amsterdam in a midsize jet, then a helicopter to Monaco's heliport at Fontvieille in about seven minutes, or 30 to 60 minutes by road. Monaco has no airport. Cannes-Mandelieu is the alternative for light and midsize jets when Nice is full.

How far ahead should I book?

Four to six weeks for the aircraft and the parking at Nice; earlier for the helicopter slots at Fontvieille, which are the scarce item during show week. It is busier than a normal September weekend but not as tight as the Grand Prix; a week's notice is usually too late for the helicopter, rarely for the jet.

Is a day trip realistic?
