Route guide
Amsterdam to Ibiza is 819 nautical miles and takes about 2h 35m block time in a midsize jet, 2h 40m in a light jet. Per person it starts around €1,600 with six on board. In summer, Ibiza's slot and parking rules — not aircraft availability — decide when you can depart.
Ibiza is the most requested leisure route from Amsterdam between May and October, and it is an easy sector for any class. The airport, IBZ, has a single 2,800 m runway and a dedicated general aviation terminal, so a business jet arrives away from the scheduled traffic and you are in a car within minutes of the door opening.
| Class | Block time | Whole aircraft, one way | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light jet | 2h 40m | €9,700 – €18,900 | €1,600 – €3,150 (6 pax) |
| Midsize jet | 2h 35m | €17,150 – €30,950 | €2,150 – €3,850 (8 pax) |
| Heavy jet | 2h 30m | €30,000 – €52,500 | €3,000 – €5,250 (10 pax) |
Read the per-person column against a business-class fare on the same dates and the light jet with six on board is in the same conversation. Our break-even comparison shows where exactly that line falls.
This is the part most route pages leave out, and it is the part that actually shapes the trip. Ibiza is slot-coordinated, and from 1 May to 15 October it runs a parking-approval regime for general aviation: an aircraft that will stay on the ground for more than about three hours needs a confirmed stand before a slot can even be requested. The airport can, and in peak weeks does, require aircraft to reposition elsewhere.
Three practical consequences follow.
Outside the season the picture relaxes: Ibiza is open around the clock through 31 October, then runs published hours of 06:30 to 23:00 with extensions available on request. A winter trip has none of the summer's friction.
For a weekend, the aircraft normally flies home after dropping you and comes back to collect you, which means two positioning legs in the price. For a same-day return it waits, which in summer means securing parking. Which is cheaper depends on the dates and on whether an aircraft is already scheduled to be in the Balearics, so we quote both rather than assume. If your dates are loose, this is also one of the busiest corridors for empty legs in the summer months.
Six people to Ibiza for a week bring a lot. A light jet's hold takes three to four soft bags comfortably and gets tight beyond that, and on an 800 nm sector the payload is a real constraint rather than a theoretical one. If the party is six with full luggage, ask for the midsize quote alongside — the cabin you can stand up in is worth it at two and a half hours, and the hold takes what you actually bring. The luggage guide has the numbers per class.
The general aviation terminal at Ibiza has its own customs and immigration for flights from outside Schengen; from Amsterdam there is normally no routine passport check, though you carry ID for the manifest. Cars come to the aircraft on request. Villas on the north and west of the island are 30 to 45 minutes from the airport; the town and Playa d'en Bossa are ten. Joining a yacht in Marina Ibiza is a car and a tender — how that chain is arranged has its own guide.
Send the dates and the party size and the quote comes back with the slot situation for those days, not just a price. The form is already filled in with the route.
Questions
819 nautical miles great-circle. Our computed block times are 2h 40m in a light jet, 2h 35m in a midsize jet and 2h 30m in a heavy jet — door closed at Schiphol to door open at Ibiza, taxi and climb included. All three classes fly it non-stop.
From published 2026 European rate bands plus trip costs, a one-way light jet works out at roughly €9,700 to €18,900 for the whole aircraft, which is €1,600 to €3,150 per person with six on board. A midsize jet for eight runs €2,150 to €3,850 per person. An all-in quote for your date is exact; these are planning figures.
Ibiza is slot-coordinated and applies parking approval for general aviation from 1 May to 15 October. An aircraft staying more than about three hours needs a confirmed stand before its slot can be requested, and the airport can require an aircraft to reposition. In practice this means booking earlier and accepting that the exact departure time is set by the airport, not by you.
Yes, and in summer it is often the simplest plan, because an aircraft that drops you and leaves needs no parking approval. For a stay of several days the aircraft usually flies home and returns, which adds positioning; whether that or parking is cheaper depends on the dates, and we quote both.
A light jet for up to six with light luggage on this two-and-a-half-hour sector is entirely comfortable. Seven or more, or a party with a lot of luggage, wants a midsize cabin. A heavy jet is for large groups; on this distance its extra speed saves only ten minutes.
